
Marketing Intern

Compensation: Volunteer internship. School credit available upon request.

Who You Are You are a self-motivated, organized writer who has an impeccable eye for detail and an unstoppable work ethic. You adapt easily to shifting priorities and enjoy contributing as part of a team. You enjoy creating out-of-the-box solutions to roadblocks, both internal and external.
What You'll Do You'll work with the Marketing Manager, Director of Marketing and Creative, and Graphic Designer to support the creation of written content, for our email marketing and social media campaigns. You'll also learn about the administrative and operational sides of Marketing and content through day-to-day operations, special projects as assigned, and coordinating our digital ad trade program with other arts organizations. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with other departments, sit-in on internal marketing discussions, and work with our digital marketing agency.
Your Schedule We offer flexible hours (between Mon-Fri, 9:00am-5:00pm) and ask for a commitment of between 8 and at least 10 hours per week in-person at our office at 9 Harcourt St, Boston. As we are a performing ensemble, your assistance during concerts and special events will be required.
Your Skills Skills You Have
Desire to learn more about digital marketing, content creation, working collaboratively with a team, and arts nonprofits
Outstanding organizational and project management skills
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
Experience with Premiere Pro is a plus!
Google Drive Apps (Docs, Sheets, and Slides) and Microsoft Office
Skills Want to Learn or Improve
Writing and editing skills, especially through a marketing lens
Using email marketing software (Preferably ActiveCampaign, MailChimp, WordFly, Prospect2)
Working with social media (using software like Meta Business Suite)
