Position Details:

Part time internship – 12 – 20 hours/week

Onsite at 6535 SH-161 S, Irving Texas 75039

Internship Summary: The Marketing Intern is responsible for supporting the marketing team and will learn about the basic functions of a Marketing department in this role. Responsibilities will include drafting social media posts, proofreading and editing copy for articles, collateral material and other marketing material, assisting with creation of videos, and providing administrative support to the Sr. Marketing Manager.

This is not a traditional marketing role, and the intern won't be focused on tasks like A/B testing or data analysis. Instead, they’ll be working closely with our Marketing team to support the development of our brand and messaging and learning about the inner workings of our department.

The Marketing Intern will gain exposure to all aspects of our business and have the opportunity to learn from our experienced Marketing team. The intern will receive hands‑on training and support as needed and will have the chance to develop your skills in marketing support platforms and tools.

Objectives

Develop skills and knowledge in marketing and communications

Build professional network and connections

What Will You Be Doing:

Assist with review and proofreading of copy for various collateral

Create social media posts

Assist in creation of written, video and image content for marketing channels

Think creatively and pitch ideas to fuel content platforms

Assist with sales materials including presentation development

Help update of key staff bios

Assist with administrative duties for marketing team as needed

Learn about marketing support tools such as HubSpot, Canva, etc.

Assist with internal support for the WebTPA intranet

Write company communications

Projects:

Content Video Filming:

We recently built an onsite video studio and will be filming various collateral throughout the year. The intern has the opportunity to work with our Multimedia Specialist and be part of the filming process, from scripting, to filming, to editing. The intern will be asked to participate in these processes and learn what it is like to produce professional content for social media, websites, and training.

Website Improvements:

Our team will be making major enhancements to our website including copy, graphics, accessibility, etc. The intern will be able to participate in those updates.

Internal intranet platform migration.

We are currently evaluating other intranet option. The intern will be able to participate in the evaluation process.

Qualifications:

0-1 years related work experience.

Must be a rising Junior or Senior pursuing a college degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field.

High school diploma or GED

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and consider timely responsiveness a top priority.

Quick learner who can thrive in a fast‑paced environment

Highly effective at multi‑tasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously

Strong background with Microsoft suite including PowerPoint and Word

Experience preferred in working with marketing tools and apps – such as event apps, content management systems, email automation software.

General Physical Demands: Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
