Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Import Marketing Intern based in New York City. As an Import Marketing Intern, the role will carry out responsibilities such as but not limited to supporting new product launches, data/record‑keeping, market analysis and campaign execution. The role includes engaging with plants overseas. Additionally, the Import Marketing Intern will collaborate with Lactalis Group marketing teams and manufacturers to align duties with the company's goals and values.

Key responsibilities for this position include:
Take proactive part in the development and execution of the marketing program, including consumer promotions.
Help in developing new packaging and launching new products.
Assist in maintaining/updating existing portfolio; with proper record‑keeping and clerical tasks.
Participate in the development of sales and in‑store materials, trade advertising and digital activities.
Help in performing market and competition analysis; tracking tool research.
Participate in conducting market data mining and other research.

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:
Education
Graduating with a Bachelor’s or a Master’s Degree is required.
Majors in Business, Marketing or Food Science are preferred.
Experience
Some practical experience through prior internships or professional experiences.
Experience with IRI/Circana a plus.
Competencies
Strong analytical skills: Need to be proficient in analyzing complex data sets using Excel, and utilizing a data‑driven mindset combined with a creative approach to problem‑solving.
Concern for accuracy – must be very detail‑oriented.
Passionate about brand marketing and eager to learn and grow.
Open‑minded, capacity to understand/analyze/react.
Strong communication & organizational skills, teamwork ability; must be able to multi‑task and coordinate activities between several departments.
Proactivity: proactive in tasks and meeting deadlines.
Significant knowledge of current software systems including: Outlook, Word, Excel.
Interest in foreign cultures, capacity to adapt to US/French business cultures.
Interest in food as part of a lifestyle; cheese amateur. Regular tastings.
Proficiency in French required.
