
Event Marketing Intern

As part of our internship program, students will have the opportunity to:
Gain hands-on, real-world experience within a leading industry, working on meaningful projects that contribute to day-to-day operations and long-term initiatives
Volunteer to assist with company events such as the Family Picnic, Employee Summit, Manufacturing Technology Summer Camp, and other events as needed.
Complete a final presentation outlining their internship experience, which may be presented to their direct supervisor and colleagues.
Gain hands-on exposure to projects, team collaboration, and professional development opportunities designed to prepare them for future careers.
Participate in learning sessions, networking opportunities, and community-building activities across the organization.
Job Duties & Responsibilities Join us for an exciting summer! We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Marketing team as a Event Marketing Intern.
As an Event Marketing Intern, you will be exposed to hands-on event marketing, logistics, and on-site execution within a fast-paced, live-event environment. This role offers the opportunity to support high-profile marketing events, including STIHL TIMBERSPORTS and other STIHL marketing initiatives, while gaining real-world experience in event operations, promotion, and brand activation.
In this role, you will assist the business events team with planning, coordination, and execution of marketing events, providing administrative, logistical, technical, and on-site support. You will also support social media and public relations activities tied to events, gaining insight into how live experiences are marketed, executed, and amplified across digital channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the planning and execution of STIHL marketing events, including STIHL TIMBERSPORTS
Provide administrative, logistical, and technical support before, during, and after events
Assist with event setup and tear-down, including lifting or moving materials up to 40 pounds
Support on-site event operations to ensure smooth execution
Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing event-related social media and PR activities
Travel to event locations as needed and support extended work hours during event periods
Collaborate with the business events team to support multiple marketing initiatives
Internship Goals:
Develop hands-on experience in event planning and execution
Build brand promotion and activation skills
Gain exposure to corporate communications and public relations
Strengthen social media and event promotion skills
