Department Summary The Digital Marketing team is responsible for understanding customer needs and translating them into meaningful experiences and communications. We partner across the organization, in support of our corporate goals, to strengthen our brand, improve customer journeys, and ensure every touchpoint is aligned with what customers value most. This team plays a key role in driving engagement, loyalty, and overall customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Learn about the Mutual of America brand and the services we offer

Support integrated marketing campaigns (Strategy/Planning, Execution, Measurement/Optimization)

Work on marketing projects that align with corporate goals such as Strengthening the Balance Sheet, Growth, Retention, Customer Satisfaction, Employee Satisfaction, etc.

Learn about Marketing Operations (Budget, Martech stack, etc.)

Work on Social Selling and Social Customer Care programs

Gain familiarity with content calendar, email, articles, landing pages, social media posts, etc.

Work on design, copy, presentations, reports, dashboards, etc.

Collaborate with and be mentored by members of our team

Conduct competitive research project that is presented to the team at the end of the Summer

Required Qualifications

Only accepting rising Sophomores (grad year May 2029) and rising Juniors (grad year May 2028).

Must have a minimum overall 3.4 GPA.

Must be able to commute to NYC 4 days a week (Monday – Thursday).

Role Summary Mutual of America’s Summer Internship Program provides college students with hands‑on corporate experience working with meaningful projects and assignments. Throughout the 8-week program, interns will not only have direct guidance from experienced leaders in their assigned departments but can have the opportunity to attend training classes and planned events with other interns.
