Key Responsibilities
The
Sales Development & Prospecting Sr. Advisor
plays a critical role in driving new business growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective clients. This role is primarily responsible for outbound prospecting activities and serves as a key partner to the Sales Directors by building pipeline, preparing prospect insights, and supporting early‑stage sales efforts. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, organized, and comfortable initiating conversations with new prospects. This role is well‑suited for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced sales environment and is eager to develop strong consultative selling skills.
Identify and research prospective clients aligned to target markets and ideal customer profiles
Execute outbound prospecting activities including cold calling, email outreach, and social selling
Qualify inbound and outbound leads to assess fit, interest, and readiness
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date prospect information in CRM systems
Consistently meet or exceed activity and pipeline generation goals
Partner closely with the Sales Directors to prioritize accounts and prospecting strategies
Prepare prospect research, call notes, and meeting briefs to support sales conversations
Assist with scheduling introductory meetings and handoffs to the Sales Director
Support early‑stage sales activities including follow‑ups, outreach sequencing, and data tracking
Provide insights on prospect feedback, objections, and market trends
Work cross‑functionally with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align outreach efforts
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing sales enablement initiatives
Contribute to the continuous improvement of prospecting processes, messaging, and tools
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in sales, business development, customer success, or a related role
Demonstrated success calling on Commercial and/or Health Plans and Government Markets
Proven ability to navigate complex organizations, navigating multiple stakeholders, influencers, and decision-makers
Ability to think outside the box and push the status quo in identifying entry points, leveraging data, insights, industry trends, and creative outreach strategies
Capability to synthesize complex healthcare and pharmacy solutions into clear, compelling business cases tied to cost containment, member experience, and outcomes
Strong communication skills with comfort engaging senior‑level stakeholders
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail
Self‑motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow in a sales career
Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce or similar) preferred
Preferred experience in healthcare, wellbeing, or PBM environments, with a strong understanding of employer-sponsored benefits and pharmacy strategy
Prior experience in outbound prospecting or lead generation
Familiarity with sales methodologies and structured prospecting approaches
Experience supporting senior sales leaders or account executives
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
This position is anticipated to offer an annual salary of 126,500 - 210,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors including experience and geographic location.
This role is anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
