An International Bank located in midtown NYC is seeking to hire a Credit Analyst / Underwriter to work on their Commercial Real Estate portfolio for their Corporate Bank. Responsibilities

Ongoing responsibility for the credit review process including re-rating, re-appraisal, covenant compliance and funding conditions. Analysis of borrower personal and property level financial statements, rent rolls, tenant financials, cash-flow analysis, property information and market research. Participation in deal teams for credit underwriting of complex real estate transactions Review of structural adequacy of real estate loans based on sustainable cash-flow models, credit metrics, sensitivities. Participation in the construction loan administration process as well as funding/authorization of reserve money for leasing, improvements, and earn-outs from escrows. Due diligence with Appraisers, Engineers, Insurance Consultants and Legal Counsel Compliance of loan documentation with approvals, bank policy and processes Required qualifications

Experience in credit underwriting and Portfolio management Strong commitment, independency and reliability towards multiple job assignments, including handling of in-house IT applications for risk reporting and compliance. Solid knowledge of real estate lending, property markets and financials analysis Strong capability to manage complex spread-sheets in ARGUS and EXCEL, including macros. Good intrapersonal skills to work well in deal teams, with third party consultants and internal units. Good negotiation skills with borrowers and third parties Good analytical abilities to address specific credit risk, knowledge of 80/20 etc. transactions helpful Ability to provide well-structured credit opinions, addressing downside risk and mitigants Independent work attitude with the ability to defend the bank policy also in critical situations College degree in finance, economics or banking is preferred 3+ years experience in real estate lending in a major US lending institution
