Marketing Coordination Intern

in

Portland, OR .

At David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA), Marketing plays a direct role in how we win work. As a Marketing Intern on our Corporate Marketing team, you’ll gain hands‑on experience supporting DEA’s business development efforts across Transportation, Water and Environment, Energy, Land Development, Marine Services, and Surveying and Geomatics.

In the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, marketing looks different than consumer or brand marketing. Our team partners closely with engineers and technical leaders to develop proposals, Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), and interview presentations that help secure infrastructure and community‑impacting projects. This internship offers exposure to the fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment of professional services marketing, where strategy, organization, and storytelling come together to support project pursuits.

You’ll work alongside experienced marketers and business development professionals to support active pursuits, maintain marketing assets, and build practical skills that complement your academic experience.

What You’ll Do Key Responsibilities:

Support proposal and SOQ development through formatting, editing, document assembly, and deadline coordination

Conduct basic market, client, and competitor research to inform pursuit strategy

Assist with maintaining marketing collateral, resumes, and project descriptions to ensure pursuit readiness

Update CRM databases and marketing records to support business development tracking

Help prepare materials for conferences, trade shows, award submittals, and client interviews

Assist with social media and website content updates aligned to firm initiatives

Provide general administrative and project support to the Corporate Marketing team

Support visibility efforts for conferences, tradeshows and sponsorships

What You Bring Required Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, graduating in Summer or Fall 2026

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Basic familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat)

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Potential salary range:

$20.00/hr - $25.00/hr

· The posted salary range represents the typical range for this position and is provided in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
