Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in various aspects of tourism marketing, particularly in sub‑brands of Visit NC including SportsNC, OutdoorNC and RetireNC. As a Marketing Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting our campaigns, assisting with project coordination, and participating in team initiatives.

What You’ll Do
Assist with organizing documentation for the esports grant.
Update SportsNC.com to provide accurate and up‑to‑date partner listings for public reference.
Support the team in gathering promotional materials and assets from local partners to assist with marketing projects.
Help in maintaining the CRM (Salesforce database) for Partner and Industry Relations campaigns and track partner promotions.
Aid in the creation of engaging content for Visit NC’s sub‑brands
Assist in distributing content through channels such as social media, email and website.
Support content production activities, including filming, creating visuals, and drafting copy, as needed.
Create and organize templates for partner and consumer communication.
Draft detailed themed itineraries for promotional purposes, following the guidelines provided.
Support the team in maintaining project management tools and timelines as assigned.
Attend team meetings to observe and learn about different marketing functions and best practices.
Ensure consistency in brand guidelines across all marketing materials.
Complete assigned training programs related to tourism and destination management.
Update the company presentation deck with new materials on tourism initiatives and programs as directed.
Provide support to the Partner and Industry Relations team on a project‑by‑project basis as assigned.

Requirements Education and Experience Requirements Currently pursuing a degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
License And Knowledge Requirements
Knowledge of social media platforms and content creation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Marketing Cloud or Salesforce is a plus.
