Parts Specialist

The Inside Truck Parts Representative is responsible for providing excellent customer service to local and out-of-town customers purchasing parts. This is accomplished by greeting customers, taking orders, responding to customer phone calls, emails, text messages, and at times stocking; ordering; and shipping parts.
Duties and Responsibilities
Greet and acknowledge all customers, both external and internal.
Demonstrate the company’s commitment to superior customer satisfaction by treating all customers fairly and with honesty.
Sell heavy‑duty truck parts to meet customer needs; provide internal Diesel Truck Technicians with required parts in a timely manner.
Communicate in‑person, over the phone, and by email with customers to determine and fill specific needs.
Emphasize product features, benefits, and current promotions; quote prices; and prepare sales.
Identify correct parts for specific makes, models, and years of trucks through use of electronic parts catalogs and manuals.
Locate and retrieve inventory within the warehouse for both internal and external customer purchase.
Find external availability when parts are not in stock.
Help resolve customer issues, concerns, and complaints to a level where both the customer and dealership are satisfied with the outcome.
Complete all required and necessary paperwork, including packing slips; purchase orders; warranties; core returns, vendor bills, and new part returns.
Process and tag all core and warranty returns.
Process returns for cores and warranties on a daily basis to ensure proper credit is issued to customers.
Maintain a clean and orderly work space.
Work additional hours preparing for, and participating in the inventory reconciliation process.
Serve in other capacities within the department when needed for the well‑being of the company.
Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Training
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience working with heavy truck parts, preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
At least one‑year experience working in Auto Parts and/or Counter Sales.
Physical Requirements
This position includes sitting and using office equipment, including telephones and computers, and may also require lifting of files and product samples.
Occasional lifting and/or moving up to fifty (50) pounds.
The position may also involve some repetitive motions of the hands, wrists, and elbows.
The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud and involves repetitive sounds caused by heavy machinery.
This position may require a flexible schedule and periodic overtime.
