Job Description

The Kroger Summer Internship Program is a 12‑week immersive experience that offers students an opportunity to grow their careers through a variety of focused internship assignments. Summer 2026 Dates: May 18 - August 7. Our program offers competitive pay, hands‑on learning experiences, company exposure to senior leaders, and professional development opportunities. Spend your summer driving projects, refining your professional skills, working along industry leaders, and connecting with other students from across the country. Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Kroger Co (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status). Responsibilities
Partner with numerous product teams that are focused on making great user‑centric products that delight customers and drive the business Understand and empathize with users by supporting Customer Research activities including interviews, contextual observation and surveys; use personas and other data to understand customer problems, behaviors and goals Focus on user problems utilizing journey maps, user flows, UX canvases or other artifacts that identify problems to solve through design Maintain and follow operational procedures and processes Participate in weekly/monthly department meetings Assist in working on new technology platforms that are revolutionizing the retail industry Engage with peers on committees that include philanthropy, branding and community events Participate in intern programs that support technical and leadership development within the organization Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation Qualifications
Minimum Open to Product Design, Visual Design, Industrial Design, Human-Computer Interaction or related degree, must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university with a preferred GPA of 3.0 Highly motivated student with the desire to take initiative on their own work Technical majors preferred Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in groups or independently Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to preserve confidentiality of information Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to present information to various levels of the organization Ability to analyze and interpret information and apply to business needs Commitment to providing customer service Prior experience in a retail environment Job Info
