Position Details The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) and Women’s Lacrosse League (WLL) are looking for early-career professionals in the
Boston area
who are passionate about growing the game of lacrosse within their local communities through the league’s grassroots marketing initiatives.
These individuals will form a geographically based team known as the
PLL Shield Team , responsible for building fandom in the Boston market as the tour-based leagues transition toward a home-and-away model. This is a
primarily in-market role running from February through early-August , focused on driving local awareness, fan engagement, and data capture through grassroots activations, all leading up to and supporting the market’s homecoming weekend.
Shield Team members will assist in planning and staffing engaging grassroots activations within their local market to increase awareness and excitement for their city’s PLL + WLL teams. These activations focus on building local fan awareness in homecoming markets by engaging fans face-to-face at events throughout the season.
Responsibilities
Plan and staff engaging grassroots activations within the local market.
Drive local awareness and fan engagement for the PLL + WLL in the Boston area.
Capture data and feedback from activations to support league initiatives.
Participate in events such as local amateur/professional sports events, NCAA lacrosse games, high school lacrosse games, and youth tournaments.
Support in-season PLL events and community/fundraiser activities as part of the activation program.
Past Shield Team Activations
Local amateur and professional sporting events
NCAA men’s and women’s lacrosse games
High school lacrosse games
Youth and club lacrosse tournaments, practices, and games
In-season PLL events, including Regular Season weekends and the Championship Series
Community events, festivals, and fairs
Fundraisers and charitable events
Qualifications
Adaptable mindset with the ability to problem-solve.
High social IQ and developed interpersonal skills.
Ability to approach and confidently speak with strangers.
Passionate about sports entertainment.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Requirements
Access to a vehicle or convenient transportation
Space to accommodate on-hand inventory required for activations
Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs
Able to be on their feet for long periods
Compensation
$15 / Hour
