
Tax Analyst

About the Role
We are looking for an Income Tax Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the lifecycle of the state tax returns, support the federal tax return with an opportunity to grow, and utilize technology to implement process improvements. Join a collaborative team that manages income taxes for a $6 billion-dollar global manufacturing enterprise. This position will be located at a facility in Newark, Delaware, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement.
Responsibilities
Maintain tax information, records, and relevant work papers for compliance. Prepare state tax returns, estimates, extensions, and other required reports accurately and on time
Perform quarterly and annual state tax provision tasks
Analyze and interpret tax laws and regulations and prepare technical documents on their impact on Gore's tax operations
Prepare correspondence and interact with external tax agencies, consultants, and auditors
Support the federal tax return
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of corporate income tax experience, with emphasis on state income tax (returns, extensions, and estimates) in a multi-state environment
Experience drafting and responding to tax agency correspondence/notices and partnering effectively with external advisors and auditors
Ability to research and interpret tax law, document conclusions, and prepare clear, audit-ready workpapers
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a recurring close/compliance calendar
Desired Qualifications
Experience with MS365, CoPilot, SAP, Alteryx, CSC Corptax, and Thomson Reuters Checkpoint
MST, CPA or other financial designations
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed. Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore's work arrangement policies.
