Position Overview QC Capital is seeking a highly organized and execution-focused Real Estate Asset Closing Coordinator to support the firm’s acquisition and disposition activities across its portfolio companies. This role is responsible for driving transactional efficiency, ensuring compliance, and coordinating all stakeholders through the closing lifecycle.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in complex commercial real estate transactions, including structured ownership vehicles, tax-deferred exchanges, and institutional debt coordination. This position plays a critical role in protecting the firm’s capital, managing risk exposure, and ensuring seamless asset onboarding.
Key Responsibilities Transaction & Closing Management
Manage transactions from executed LOI through funding and post-closing compliance.
Coordinate and track all Purchase and Sale Agreements (PSA), amendments, exhibits, and contractual deadlines.
Maintain comprehensive closing checklists and transaction dashboards.
Serve as primary liaison with title companies, escrow agents, buyer/seller counsel, lender counsel, and debt brokers.
Review settlement statements and coordinate wire confirmations to ensure accurate funding execution.
Assemble and maintain digital closing binders and permanent transaction records.
1031 Exchange Oversight
Coordinate 1031 exchange transactions in partnership with Qualified Intermediaries.
Monitor identification and exchange timelines to ensure strict compliance with IRS requirements.
Collaborate with legal and tax advisors to facilitate structured exchange closings.
Entity Formation & Regulatory Compliance
Coordinate formation of new entities (LLCs, LPs, etc.) in applicable jurisdictions.
Obtain EINs and manage state registrations.
Apply for and track business licenses and required operational permits.
Ensure all ownership structures are properly documented prior to closing.
Debt & Capital Coordination
Interface with debt brokers and lenders to track underwriting milestones and closing conditions.
Coordinate with lender counsel to facilitate loan document review and execution.
Monitor satisfaction of financing contingencies and funding requirements.
Operational Transition & Post-Closing Execution
Coordinate utility transfers and vendor onboarding to ensure operational continuity.
Confirm recording of deeds and financing documents.
Track and complete post-closing deliverables, including estoppels, assignments, and compliance filings.
Qualifications Experience:
3–5 years of commercial real estate closing or transaction coordination experience.
Demonstrated experience managing 1031 exchanges.
Direct experience working with LOIs, PSAs, and commercial closing documentation.
Experience forming legal entities and obtaining EINs.
Familiarity with business license applications and state regulatory processes.
Proven experience coordinating with title companies, escrow agents, lender counsel, and debt brokers.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
