Our esteemed client, a privately held investment banking and real estate finance firm, is seeking an
Asset Manager – Real Estate Capital
to support growth initiatives.
The Asset Manager will work closely with the Director of Asset Management and collaborate with the transaction origination, structuring, and securities distribution teams. This role is based in Baltimore and plays a key role in supporting both the firm’s debt servicing portfolio and equity holdings.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a core member of the asset management team, providing oversight and support across the firm’s servicing and asset management portfolio.
Assist with the management of the construction loan portfolio, including processing draw requests and overseeing construction closeouts.
Address borrower, trustee, and debt investor requests related to post-closing matters.
Review and analyze legal documents to determine the appropriate course of action for servicing matters.
Support equity portfolio management, including:
Communication with tenants, property managers, and third-party service providers
Coordination of annual insurance renewals
Weekly, monthly, and annual cash management activities
Preparation of financial statements
Collaboration with external CPAs on annual tax return preparation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; strong foundation in accounting preferred
Self-starter with ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
