Work Schedule: The schedule is flexible. This position will work 10 hours a week.
Job Description The Marketing & Promotions Intern is responsible for planning, managing, and executing projects related to marketing campaigns for the Department of Campus Recreation. This position requires multi-tasking while also maintaining extreme attention to detail.
Primary Responsibilities Project Management
Manage marketing requests from the Campus Recreation professional staff.
See projects from start to finish.
Communicate needs/questions between designers and pro staff.
Check on projects, ensure they are on track to be completed by the expected date.
Develop comprehensive marketing campaigns for memberships and significant events.
Social Media
Create social media posts to engage all members, students, faculty, and staff.
Develop social media content ideas and manage posts.
Maintain communications/comments on social platforms (DMs, comments, mentions, etc.).
Research trends/data/other Campus Recreation departments (and similar facilities) and incorporate new ideas based on those trends/data.
Digital Signage
Upload artwork to Digital Signage software and ensure all artwork is up to date and accurate.
Email Communications
Create and send bi-weekly emails to over 22,000 Campus Recreation participants.
Anticipate upcoming events and include news and updates on behalf of the CRC in email communication.
Qualifications
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be responsible and reliable.
Must have creative ideas in marketing programs and services for numerous different demographics.
Experience in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is a plus.
Attention to detail is a must.
Great time management skills.
Ability to work independently.
Any candidate who is offered this position will be required to go through a pre-employment criminal background check as mandated by state law.
Minimum Education: Some College
Pay Rate: $10.00/hour
