As part of our internship program, students will have the opportunity to:
Gain hands-on, real-world experience within a leading industry, working on meaningful projects that contribute to day-to-day operations and long‑term initiatives
Volunteer to assist with company events such as the Family Picnic, Employee Summit, Manufacturing Technology Summer Camp, and other events as needed.
Complete a final presentation outlining their internship experience, which may be presented to their direct supervisor and colleagues.
Gain hands‑on exposure to projects, team collaboration, and professional development opportunities designed to prepare them for future careers.
Participate in learning sessions, networking opportunities, and community‑building activities across the organization.
Job Duties & Responsibilities Join us for an exciting summer! We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Makerting Research team as a Data Analysis intern.
As a Data Analysis intern, you will support data‑driven insights that inform product, marketing, and business strategy. This role offers hands‑on experience analyzing customer and product data from STIHL’s warranty registration database to evaluate market performance, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics.
In this role, you will manipulate and analyze large data sets to assess the impact of new product introductions, evaluate the effectiveness of seasonal promotions, segment customers, and identify purchase propensity trends. You will collaborate with marketing and analytics stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights that support strategic decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
Support competitive intelligence reporting through data manipulation and analysis of product warranty registration data
Analyze the impact of new product introductions on existing product performance
Evaluate outcomes of seasonal sales promotions at national and regional levels
Perform customer segmentation based on profession, tool type, power source, and related attributes
Analyze product registration data to identify trends and potential purchase propensity
Assist with preparing insights, summaries, and reporting to support business and marketing decisions
Internship Goals
