Job Description We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce New England as a Marketing and Event intern. In this role, you will work independently under supervision and manage various projects simultaneously. Service-mindedness is as crucial to us as your professional skills.
Your main responsibilities include keeping the website up to date, utilizing social media tools for communication, creating and developing newsletters, engaging in graphic design, and handling marketing collaterals, invitations, press releases, and other send-outs. As the Marketing & Communications intern, you will play a vital role in supporting the SACC-NE network to fulfill its mission. You will be involved in promoting the Chamber, organizing various Chamber events, and handling routine administrative tasks. Your focus will be on assisting in the planning and execution of networking events. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in event planning, marketing, and project management. Key responsibilities involve contributing to the development and implementation of event concepts and themes, as well as coordinating with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure the smooth planning and execution of events.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates are welcome to apply for multiple positions at SACC; accepting an offered position and subsequently accepting a second position at SACC is not allowed. Doing so will result in disqualification from both positions.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a university program or graduated within a relevant field of study.
Swedish citizenship or strong ties to Sweden (for U.S. visa purposes).
Excellent verbal and written skills in both Swedish and English.
Ability to take initiative and work independently.
Knowledge of Graphic Design (Indesign, Photoshop, or similar) is a plus.
Preferably, previous experience in organizing events.
Software skills, including MS Office, Photoshop, and social media experience.
Benefits This is a five-month internship starting in August 2026. The internship does not provide monetary compensation as SACC-USA is a non-profit organization. As an intern abroad, you can apply for scholarships. Depending on the university program, some students may also be eligible for student aid from CSN. SACC-USA will assist with the visa application process. To be eligible for a J‑1 visa, you must be a Swedish citizen.
