Marketing Intern

to join our team and help elevate our digital presence—especially across social media, email campaigns, and brand storytelling. Our marketing team is made up of tech enthusiasts who love staying ahead of the curve and finding fresh ways to connect with our audience. If you’re passionate about marketing, social media, and tech and want hands‑on experience that actually makes an impact, this is your chance.

What You’ll Help With

Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling social media content

Write engaging, on‑brand copy for social posts, newsletters, and promotional email campaigns

Support the development and execution of monthly email marketing campaigns

Monitor social media channels, engage with followers, and identify trends and engagement opportunities

Help analyze performance metrics (open rates, clicks, engagement) and suggest improvements

Collaborate with Marketing on content calendars and campaign strategy

Conduct basic competitor research and content audits

Maintain brand voice and consistency across all content

Additional Hands‑On Opportunities

Recording short‑form content (Reels) at events

Assisting with social media posting and day‑to‑day engagement

Messaging local businesses for potential brand partnerships

Capturing behind‑the‑scenes moments for social and marketing use

Who This Role Is Great For

A college student

Someone interested in marketing, social media, events, or branding

Comfortable using Instagram, TikTok, and a phone camera

Creative, reliable, friendly, and eager to learn

Requirements Who You Are

Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Passionate about social media, storytelling, and content creation

Familiar with platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, Mailchimp (or similar), and Canva

Basic understanding of digital and email marketing principles

A self‑starter with solid time management and attention to detail

Interest in tech, IT, or cybersecurity is a plus

Bonus Points For

Experience with social media scheduling tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, etc.)

Basic knowledge of SEO and content strategy

Graphic design or video editing experience

Portfolio

Part‑time, paid internship

Approximately 15–20 hours per week, scheduled during core business hours (8:00 AM–6:00 PM EST)

On‑site role at R3 headquarters in Frederick, MD (commuting distance required)

The salary range for this position is $15.00–$18.00. Compensation will vary with experience and the specific role responsibilities.
