Manager Title Sr. Director, PBS KIDS Content Marketing
Position Overview The content marketing team oversees the strategy and content development for the PBS KIDS for Parents website, the PBS KIDS email newsletter, the PBS KIDS for Parents YouTube channel, and the PBS KIDS social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Threads. The team contributes to brand and marketing campaigns for series launches, new episodes, and seasonal priorities. The content marketing intern will learn best practices for social media and email marketing through hands‑on experience by contributing to the team’s strategy and content development needs. The intern must be passionate about PBS KIDS' mission, engaging parents of young children, and creating content for social media and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to platform strategies, such as developing a stories strategy on Instagram or an email marketing strategy related to a specific theme.
Assist with developing content for social media, email, and digital platforms, including pitching ideas for social media videos, themes for emails, or articles and activities for the website.
Create content, such as writing copy, designing graphics, and producing videos.
Manage the programming or community engagement of a platform such as Threads.
Contribute to special projects across the marketing department.
Requirements for Success
Interest in marketing and communications.
Knowledge of social media and/or email marketing.
Experience writing, editing, and/or creating videos and graphics.
Enthusiastic self‑starter who is creative and curious.
Charismatic and engaging communicator.
Skills Intern May Acquire
Knowledge of social media and email marketing best practices.
Experience writing, editing, and/or creating videos and graphics.
Collaboration and teamwork.
Additional Information
Time Commitment: June 1, 2026 – August 21, 2026
Compensation: Undergraduate students receive $15/hour, graduate students receive $17/hour
