Athletics Marketing Intern
Villanova University, a Catholic institution located in Villanova, PA, is seeking a temporary intern to support marketing for 24 Division I athletic teams. This role requires 35 hours per week and offers $15.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
Oversee, plan, and implement marketing plans for select fall, winter, and spring sports.
Schedule game‑day elements, including but not limited to anthem performers, halftime performers, time‑out performers, and color guard.
Assist with game‑day operational responsibilities for football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and other assigned games.
Create and facilitate a digital marketing plan, including development of email databases and social‑media graphics.
Oversee and schedule the game‑day student volunteer program.
Support student attendance and The Nation student fan group.
Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director for Marketing.
All duties and responsibilities must be completed in compliance with University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree.
Work Skills :
Exceptional customer service skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to multi‑task and work under pressure.
Team‑oriented and willing to work irregular hours.
Other :
Willingness to learn.
Passion for sports marketing.
Preferred Qualifications
Sports marketing experience at either the professional or collegiate level.
Experience using Adobe Photoshop.
Social media management experience.
Physical Requirements
Candidate must be willing to work holidays, weekends, and evening hours.
