Overview
The Department of Radiology at NYU Langone Health is looking for candidates to join our section of 34 dedicated ED imagers. Schedule
Positions available include swing and overnight positions (times are EST). 4p-12p or 6p-2a:
1 week on (Mon-Fri), 1 week off, every third weekend (5 days on, 9 days off followed by 7 days on, 7 days off) for a total of 156 eight-hour shifts/year 11p-8a:
7 on 14 off for a total of 122 nine-hour shifts/year Facilities/Technology
NYU has the most efficient tech stack in the industry with outstanding IT support. We are one of the test sites for Visage with the latest builds of the #1 PACS on the market, PS360, auto-populated templates including ultrasound measurements, full EPIC/EMR integration, etc. Fully integrated internal chat system within PACS to consult fellow neuro/body trained ED radiologists on challenging cases and to access the 24/7 reading room coordinators. Individualized, equitable smart distributed worklists for each seat mean you can work at your own pace. Workload and Compensation
General ED radiology study mix: about 45% XR, 45% CT, 10% MR/US. Average caseload ~9-10 wRVU/hr. Comfort with general ED MRI (stroke, spine, MRCP, appendicitis, osteo) is preferred but not required. Hybrid compensation model
- base salary ranges between $400,000 - $550,000 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience. RVU-based supplementary bonus system for ED radiologists exceeding established goals. Abundant internal moonlighting at rates up to $600/hr. External moonlighting is permitted outside of the NYC area with approval. Environment/Collaboration
Join a dynamic, collegial ED imaging group at NYU Langone Health, with three dedicated stroke and level 1 trauma centers across Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island, and associated lower acuity community hospitals. The system includes Bellevue Medical Center, a premier trauma center. Our ED group holds regular peer learning and sectional meetings to discuss interesting cases and workflow improvements.
