The Loft Ferndale is looking for a content creator who brings genuine skill across short-form video and graphic design — someone with a trained eye for beauty and luxury, and the creative confidence to execute independently from day one.
About The Loft The Loft Ferndale is a luxury booth rental salon in downtown Ferndale designed for independent stylists who value autonomy, aesthetics, and community. The space is calm, elevated, and intentional — every detail considered.
We\'re currently in a growth phase, filling the salon with the right talent. Content is one of our most powerful tools for doing that. This role exists to make people feel the space before they ever walk through the door.

The Role You\'ll create short-form video and graphic content that communicates the feeling of The Loft — and attracts stylists who immediately recognize themselves in it. This is a hands-on, execution-first role. Brand direction will be provided; taste, speed, and judgment are yours to bring.
You\'ll be on-site 2–3 days per week capturing content, then editing and producing assets independently. As a rhythm is established, there\'s potential to support other luxury brands in our portfolio — including Forefathers Grooming and Noble Product Co.
What You\'ll Do Video
– Film and edit short-form Reels, TikToks, and Shorts — primarily in CapCut, with Adobe Premiere a strong plus – Turn quiet salon moments into compelling, watchable content – Create paid ad-ready video: talking-head, voiceover, or atmosphere-driven formats – Stay current on beauty and lifestyle trends.
Graphic Design
– Produce polished graphics in Canva and/or Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, or Express) – Support IG Stories, promotional assets, and brand visuals – Work within a defined brand guide with strong aesthetic instincts
Creative Direction
– Bring original ideas — formats, series, moments worth capturing – Curate inspiration from leading salons and luxury lifestyle brands – Contribute to paid ad concepts with platform-native thinking
Key Responsibilities
Ideate, create, and edit short-form content for IG and FB, with a focus on intentional, brand-aligned storytelling, luxury graphics
Capture content on-site at The Loft 3 days per week
Stay current on beauty, salon, and lifestyle trends
Curate inspiration from leading salons nationwide and internationally
Develop repeatable content formats for organic growth and paid ads
Skills Required – Short-form video editing — CapCut proficiency required; Adobe Premiere a strong plus – Graphic design — Canva and/or Adobe (not just resizing templates) – Photography basics — light, composition, and mood – Luxury visual literacy — you know the difference between elevated and just clean – Speed and creative autonomy — you generate ideas and execute without constant direction.
Execution, taste, and creative judgment are essential.
