About The Role

The Senior Marketing Assistant provides advanced support to Account Managers and clients in the pest control and lawn care industries. In this role, you will help execute marketing activities, respond to client needs, and identify opportunities to improve performance and grow client accounts. You will work closely with Account Managers to support marketing strategies that help clients attract new customers, strengthen their online presence, and expand their services. This role focuses on the pest and lawn care industry and requires an understanding of how seasonal demand, local competition, search visibility, and online reputation affect marketing performance. This role is also designed as a development path toward an Account Manager position. Individuals who demonstrate strong client communication, strategic thinking, and account management skills are expected to be prepared to transition into an Account Manager role within approximately six months, depending on performance and business needs. The goal of this role is to proactively support clients, help maintain strong client relationships, and identify opportunities for growth.

What Your Success Will Look Like

Demonstrate strong proficiency in the core responsibilities of the Marketing Assistant role.

Develop a strong understanding of pest and lawn care marketing, including:

Seasonal demand trends

Local search visibility and map rankings

Online review strategies

Local Services Ads (LSA) basics

Multi-location SEO structures

Content strategies designed to perform well in search and AI-powered search experiences

Support Account Managers with client communications related to marketing performance and strategy, including:

Website updates related to new services

Seasonal advertising adjustments

Review generation strategies

Changes in search rankings or local visibility

Identify opportunities within client accounts that could improve results or expand services, and share those insights with Account Managers.

Help ensure client accounts follow marketing best practices, including:

Structured website data (schema)

Strong service area coverage

Competitive content strategies

Website conversion improvements

Share knowledge and insights with newer Marketing Assistants to help strengthen team expertise.

Respond quickly to requests and proactively address issues to help maintain strong client relationships.

Who You Are And What You Bring

Education

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Communications, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.

Experience

At least 2 year of experience as a Marketing Assistant in a client-facing role, supporting client accounts in a digital marketing or agency environment. This experience should include participating in client communications and helping execute marketing initiatives that drive measurable results.

Skills

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client needs and internal requests.

Ability to analyze marketing performance data (such as search rankings, advertising performance, website traffic, leads, and conversion indicators) and identify opportunities to improve results.

Comfortable participating in client conversations and helping explain marketing performance, recommendations, and next steps in a clear and professional way.

Ability to think critically about marketing performance and recognize trends, competitive gaps, or opportunities for growth within client accounts.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adjust messaging for clients, internal teams, and different audiences.

Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset; anticipating client needs, identifying potential issues early, and helping Account Managers address them.

Ability to coordinate work across internal teams and ensure projects move forward efficiently.

Collaborative team player who is eager to continue developing marketing strategy, client communication, and account management skills in preparation for an Account Manager role.

Our Values and Compensation We believe in paying fairly and in line with responsibilities and location. The base salary range is $60,000 (entry-level) - $70,000 (highly experienced), exclusive of fringe benefits. Final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. The range is the total salary range for the role, and hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future salary growth. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses or commissions.
