About the Team The Etsy Community team sits within Seller Marketing and is dedicated to helping sellers grow, thrive, and feel connected both on and off the platform. We create and nurture spaces where sellers can learn from one another, access education, and build meaningful relationships across community spaces like the Forums, virtual and in-person events, and seller-facing social channels.

About The Role The

Community & Social Coordinator

reports to the

Senior Manager of Community

and supports Etsy’s community strategy through hands-on execution across community programs, social channels, events, and seller communications.

This role serves as connective tissue across initiatives—partnering closely with sellers, managing timelines and assets, and ensuring seamless, high-quality community touchpoints.

The Coordinator will own the

day-to-day management of the events platform

and support the execution of

virtual and in-person experiences , while also creating and coordinating social content that highlights and celebrates our seller community.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys detail-oriented work, and is passionate about building meaningful experiences for creative entrepreneurs.

Core Responsibilities

Seller Communication, Coordination & Story Development

Serve as the day-to-day operational lead across seller-facing community and social programs.

Responsibilities include:

Acting as the primary coordinator for sellers participating in:

Social features

Video content

Campaigns

Workshops

Etsy Teams

Champions/Captains initiatives

In-person community events

Managing seller outreach and onboarding including:

Prep calls

Briefing documents

Reminders and follow-ups

Coordinating contracts, NDAs, travel logistics, reimbursements, and payments in partnership with Legal and Finance

Sourcing sellers for campaigns and social storytelling in collaboration with Community Marketing leads

Maintaining seller story tracking and surfacing opportunities to internal teams

Gathering and QA’ing seller-generated content such as:

Video

Imagery

Testimonials

Quotes

Managing the shared inbox and ensuring timely communication across time zones

Social, Community & Events Channel Execution

Provide hands-on execution support across Etsy’s social, community, and events channels.

Responsibilities include:

Partnering with the Social Media Manager to support content publishing and asset coordination

Maintaining social content calendars and campaign timelines

Identifying and coordinating UGC opportunities aligned with marketing priorities

Monitoring seller engagement and escalating insights to the team

Supporting engagement across community spaces including social channels, Forums, and Etsy Teams

Managing and organizing the virtual event and community asset library

Events & Programs

Supporting execution for virtual events and in-person community programs

Managing logistics for high-visibility tentpole events

Building and managing virtual events in Bevy, including:

Event setup

Registration flows

Reminder communications

Light technical support

Coordinating workshops and learning experiences including run-of-show materials and post-event follow-ups

Requirements Experience

3–5 years of experience in:

Community marketing

Social media marketing

Events

Or related roles

Experience supporting or executing virtual and in-person events

Experience creating and publishing social content

Experience working with external partners, creators, or small business owners

Skills & Strengths

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized with strong project management abilities

Ability to manage multiple timelines and stakeholders

Strong storytelling instincts with the ability to identify compelling seller stories

Detail-oriented with experience organizing and QA’ing assets

Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable owning executional work

Additional Details

This role provides general project support across community programs

Brooklyn-based candidates preferred, though all work modes are welcome

This role is not expected to extend or convert
