This is a full-time, on-site role for a Public Relations Specialist based in Jeffersonville, IN. Responsibilities include developing and executing PR campaigns, drafting press releases, cultivating relationships with media outlets, and representing the organization publicly. Additional duties involve monitoring media coverage, creating content for public awareness, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging aligned with organizational goals. Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience with crafting press releases, media pitches, and public statements Proficiency in media relations and maintaining relationships with journalists, influencers, and relevant stakeholders Ability to develop, execute, and manage public relations campaigns and strategies Experience with social media platforms, content creation, and digital communication tools Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills Capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams as well as independently Passion for animal welfare and alignment with the mission of the organization Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field
