Corporate Bankers are relationship-focused finance professionals responsible for understanding the wide range of complex financial issues facing our clients around the world. As a Corporate Banker, you will drive the client dialogue on capital structure, liability management, liquidity and funding strategies, risk management, and investment solutions. Corporate Bankers are responsible for deciding where to invest the firm's capital and executing on those investments, and work in partnership with Risk Management, Investment Banking, and the Capital Markets Organization. The Public Sector Group seeks professionals from diverse backgrounds and is not limited to finance candidates. Candidates graduating with degrees in business, economics, and/or political science/international affairs and related interests are welcome to apply. We look for candidates with an appreciation for global/geopolitical perspectives and a strong aptitude for financial analysis. These qualities are reflected in the diverse talents and backgrounds of our Analysts. We provide you with knowledge and skills you need to succeed. We are committed to teaching you the ropes. The 10-week Summer Analyst Program starts in June and begins with a 1-week in-depth training program. While in the Summer Analyst role, you are eligible to participate in Citi’s mentorship program, which provides further training and guidance during and after the program. Top-performing Summer Analysts often return to Citi after graduation to work as Full-Time Analysts. Your time here will look something like this: Prepare macroeconomic trends and policy reports Provide assistance to sovereign advisory mandates by conducting macro-financial analysis and modelling, as well as helping with diagnostics Help with financial market updates, sovereign debt, and macroeconomic indicators trends reports Assist with client RFPs (Request for Proposals), marketing for sovereigns and product pitches Research and monitor key public sector opportunities, innovative practices and risk issues and succinctly convey thoughts and opinions to Bankers and other partners Synthesize regulatory and industry trends impacting our public sector clients to drive recommendations to Bankers and Region Heads Liaise with Product Partners to support sales initiatives/business development efforts across Public Sector client portfolio (including sovereigns, central banks, sovereign wealth funds, government agencies and state-owned enterprises, not-for-profit organizations, development finance institutions) Assist in the presentation and development of new ideas to clients Assist deal teams in structuring a wide array of Corporate Finance and Treasury & Trade Solutions deals We want to hear from you if: You are graduating between December 2027 and June 2028 and have a preferred GPA of 3.5 or above Previous coursework, experience, or interest in Public Policy, International Affairs, Government, Finance, and Economics Interest in sovereigns and state-owned entities, policy issues, and knowledge of institutional products a plus Fluency in English, and proficiency in one or more other languages will be a plus.
