Tax Analyst

A Vaco client is seeking a Tax Analyst to support tax compliance, planning, and reporting activities. This role works closely with the Tax Director and finance and accounting teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations while identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce risk.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns and related filings Assist with tax planning, research, and analysis Analyze financial data for tax accuracy and compliance Prepare tax provision calculations for financial reporting Support internal and external audits Respond to tax notices and inquiries Coordinate with external tax advisors as needed Support process improvement initiatives within tax operations Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1–3 years of tax or accounting experience CPA or progress toward certification preferred SAP experience preferred Strong knowledge of U.S. tax regulations Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
