As a
Civil Designer III , you will join our growing civil engineering team and contribute to a wide range of projects. The ideal candidate will work under minimal supervision, applying advanced CAD skills to produce high-quality construction plans and exhibits. This role involves collaborating with engineers and other disciplines, mentoring junior staff, and helping maintain CAD standards. You will play a key role in solving design challenges and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Utilize Civil 3D to produce engineered construction plans and sheet setups, including plan views, sections, elevations, and details.
Apply concepts for site grading, storm drainage, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater best management practices.
Work closely with civil engineers to interpret design intent and translate it into accurate CAD drawings.
Coordinate with other disciplines such as survey, electrical, geotechnical, and structural engineering to ensure design integration.
Evaluate design alternatives for constructability, code compliance, and site challenges.
Coach and mentor junior designers while assisting in developing and maintaining CAD standards and templates.
Position Requirements
An associate or technical degree in CAD, civil engineering technology, or a related field is required.
Four to eight years of experience in civil design, with strong proficiency in Civil 3D.
Solid understanding of civil design principles, including grading, drainage, and stormwater management.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively across disciplines.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
$85,000 - $100,000 a year
