
IT Asset Management (ITAM) Intern

This internship will provide rotational exposure to IT Asset Management (ITAM) lifecycle operations within a cleared DoD environment. The intern will gain hands-on experience supporting asset accountability, secure inventory management, property disposition (DRMO), hardware fulfillment, and warehouse operations in accordance with DoD, federal, and company security and property management requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Support the ITAM team in conducting physical and system-based inventories of IT assets within controlled and cleared facilities.
Assist with asset reconciliation activities to ensure accountability, accuracy, and compliance with DoD property management regulations.
Prepare excess or surplus IT equipment for DRMO disposition in accordance with DoD, federal, and corporate security requirements, including documentation and tracking.
Assist with secure hardware request fulfillment, including equipment staging, asset tagging, tracking, and coordination with authorized personnel.
Support intake, inspection, labeling, and stocking of IT equipment within controlled warehouse and storage areas.
Assist with facility and warehouse organization efforts to maintain audit readiness, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Maintain inventory records, chain-of-custody documentation, and tracking logs in accordance with established procedures.
Adhere to all physical security, information security, and property accountability requirements within a cleared environment.
Rotate through ITAM functional areas to gain understanding of the full asset lifecycle from receipt and deployment through accountability and disposition.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program (Junior/Senior level preferred).
US Citizenship is required.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 40 lbs) as required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Interim clearance required to begin.
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
Familiarity with IT asset management principles, property accountability, or inventory management systems.
Experience working in a warehouse, logistics, or technical support environment within a regulated or secure setting.
Understanding of DoD property disposition processes or audit readiness requirements.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $41,600.00 - $75,200.00
