Property Manager

with a successful track record managing mixed use retail in the Chicago environment to join its team. The successful property manager will oversee a portfolio of street and urban assets in the Gold Coast, Loop, South Loop, Wicker Park, Lincoln Park and Logan Square. Properties include individual storefronts with one tenant, larger urban shopping centers, as well as retail condos located in large mixed-use developments. This position is based out of Lincoln Park and will report to the local Vice President of Property Management.

Responsibilities

All facets of day-to-day management such as:

Repairs and maintenance

Contract bidding / RFP Process

Vendor contract administration

Tenant and customer relations

Accounts payable

Budgeting and forecasting

Construction

Condo and HOA relations

Municipal relations

Job Requirements

A general knowledge of building maintenance and trade work (Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Life Safety)

Computer literate (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Excellent customer service skills, pleasant demeanor, reliable with a strong work ethic.

Some travel required. Must own a reliable car and have a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree

2+ years of commercial property management or related experience required.

Retail property management experience strongly preferred.

The base salary compensation range for this role reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000.

Employees may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary bonus program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
