Overview
The shift for this role is Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Position:
Packaging Associate
Responsibilities
Finalize finished flower units and assist the Packaging Manager and Machine Operator with tasks related to the bagging machine.
Assist with all machine-related tasks and meet strict daily goals, quantities, and quality of finished products.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
Follow all standard operating procedures (SOP) operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information, and policies when performing duties.
Maintain up-to-date accurate scale logs and a clean and organized work environment.
Pre-open pre-packed finished flower bags and review completed units to verify correct weight and detect visual defects.
Apply all necessary labels and count completed units into predetermined case pack sizes.
Assist in day-to-day cleaning of the machine and complete duties on time; willing to accept additional duties and responsibilities.
Maintain open communication with management and co-workers about daily production output.
Flex to other departments to assist as needed and allowed within the production schedule.
Must be comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures from 55°-85°.
Qualifications
For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
High school diploma or GED required.
Additional skills
Ability and comfort with using power-operated machine tools.
Comfortable using technology/computers to operate machine(s).
Comfortable working around high-speed machinery and at heights (up to 12 feet).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy; machinery is imperative to the lifecycle and proper care of our plants.
Desire and ability to work as a team member.
Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
Open communication with management and co-workers; strong work ethic and accountability.
Ability to work at a fast pace in a high production environment.
No allergies to plant materials or nitrile gloves; daily exposure to cannabis plants and nitrile gloves is required.
Work Schedule/Location
On-site 5 days a week.

This position requires an inordinate amount of sitting, walking, kneeling, bending, scooping, twisting, and reaching in full range of motion to complete physical tasks.

Similar to an assembly line; repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
Working in a cannabis growing facility with potential odors, bright lights, and various noises.
PPE required during the workday, including scrubs, masks, gloves, and hairnets; DCM will provide scrubs, gloves, and hair nets.
