The Opportunity Abbott’s Cardiometabolic sales team has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager - East. This is a field based role and the preferred candidate will live in Northeast (NJ/NY/PA/CT).

The

Regional Sales Manager

provides strategic leadership and direction for the sale of the

Cardiometabolic's

portfolio of products – part of our diagnostics division. They will lead a team of 10 Account Managers and 1 District Manager to drive growth, retention, and operational excellence on the Cardiometabolic (CM) Portfolio across East.

The focus is on point of care diagnostic testing on our Afinion (HbA1C and ACR) and Cholsetech LDX (cholesterol, lipids and glucose) analyzer’s.

What you'll do

Strategic Leadership & Vision

Implement and execute commercial strategies that support U.S. Commercial Vision imperatives and objectives.

Drive short-term, mid-range, and long-term organizational goals through effective sales planning and execution

Sales Management

Lead the sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets through efficient territory management and sales cycle optimization.

Monitor performance using KPIs and Power BI dashboards; hold team accountable for results.

Extract insights from data and implement targeted interventions to improve individual and team performance.

Business Growth & Retention

Ensure customer retention and renewals while driving growth through acquisition of new business in both new and existing accounts.

Conduct customer and distributor business reviews, applying Pareto principles to focus on top accounts driving the majority of sales.

Financial & Operational Accountability

Manage regional P&L and ensure accurate sales forecasting to maximize growth and retention.

Oversee administrative tasks including training, expense reporting, and compliance with EHS policies.

Leadership & Development

Coach and develop direct reports using leadership frameworks such as Coaching for Breakthrough.

Foster a collaborative environment that supports cross-functional team effectiveness.

Lead complex and high-risk account management initiatives.

Systems & Compliance

Ensure effective use and maintenance of CRM (Salesforce).

Demonstrate continual improvement in commercial processes.

Travel

Up to 60% domestic travel to support business objectives.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience.

Proven success in value-based solution selling.

Strong ability to influence and lead with and without direct authority. Executive-level business and financial acumen with strong negotiation skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to engage senior-level executives.

Demonstrated leadership and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

MBA/Masters Degree

The base pay for this position is $113,300.00 – $226,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
