Real Estate Paralegal New York New York Job ID: 20931 The candidate will handle residential transactions inducing the firms sponsor sales and provide support to the attorneys engaged in busy dynamic commercial Real Estate law practice. Essential functions of the position include, but, are not limited to: Handle residential transactions on behalf of sellers or buyers. Assist at closings of commercial transactions including commercial loan closings from the borrower’s side, purchases and sales of office buildings, shopping centers, etc. Assist other departments in real estate aspects of their transactions, i.e., transferring property for the trust and estates and corporate attorneys. Assist attorneys with transactional documents including proofreading, preparation of closing CDs, maintaining files and tracking checklists. On occasion, assist other departments—such as Trusts and Estates, Tax, Advertising and Promotions, and Intellectual Property. Requirements
Minimum of five years of real estate experience including title reviews, preferably in a law firm setting, an in-house legal department or a title company Bachelor’s degree Proficiency on Microsoft Word Proficiency in obtaining documents and information from on-line resources Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and track extensive detail Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with personnel Must be flexible with overtime Willingness to work with and assist other staff members in accomplishing work assignments Pleasant and cooperative attitude Must be able to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly Reporting Responsibility – Supervising Partner Please send resumes to Jarrett Wambold at jwambold@friedmanwilliams.com Tagged as: Real Estate Paralegal
