As the Assistant Produce Manager, you will help customers make healthy food choices by providing excellent customer service while leading one of the store’s busiest teams. Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team Coordinate merchandising and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork Maintain freshness standards by following proper receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, displaying, and rotation of items Lead a team that brainstorms to deliver the finest quality of product and the highest level of service Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Produce team Unload and sort deliveries, operate and maintain produce equipment Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ensure the team follows procedures Thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate a readiness to contribute Qualifications

To be an Assistant Produce Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market you must: Be at least 18 years old and have basic math, weights, and measures knowledge Be dependable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays Have an outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and work in a team Perform general housekeeping in the department and sanitize work areas (tables, floors, walls, cases, coolers, freezers, etc.) Adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations, including COOL, and obtain and maintain a Food Handlers permit Be able to stand, walk, bend, climb throughout the workday and lift/maneuver up to 50 lbs. for extended periods Be able to use a pallet jack to move pallets up to 20 feet Benefits
