Summary The Catering Sales Manager at

Wild Dunes Resort

is responsible for selling, planning, and servicing events with a specialized focus on the Wedding and Social markets. This role partners closely with the Director of Events and the Director of Sales, Marketing, and Events to drive banquet food and beverage revenue, secure meeting room rentals, and deliver exceptional end-to-end event experiences.

Responsibilities

Menu planning, agenda development, and contract review.

Coordination of all hotel meeting and catering services.

Serve as the primary liaison between clients and resort departments, facilitating communication before, during, and after events to ensure a seamless and high-quality experience.

Conduct site inspections, host client entertainment, and cultivate strong customer relationships.

Participate in—and at times lead—event meetings, and actively prospect new business opportunities.

Collaborate with the sales and catering team, administrative support, and all operational areas of the resort.

Qualifications

A genuine desire to meet the needs of others in a fast-paced environment

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in general computer applications and office software

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferably two years of hotel sales or event planning experience

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business levels require

Ability to maintain attention to detail in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
