MBB Architects is seeking a skilled Communications Director to join our interdisciplinary, award winning architecture firm in New York City. Focused on design excellence and strategic impact, we are a collaborative, women-owned practice led by four Partners. Our mission is to design beautiful, responsive, and meaningful environments to enrich people's lives and shape a sustainable future. Established in 1998 as Murphy Burnham & Buttrick Architects, the firm works across diverse typologies and scales, with an emphasis on serving institutional clients. Our diverse team of 25 includes architects, planners, sustainability specialists and interior designers. We incorporate research on inclusive and high-performance design techniques while creating humanistic spaces that address evolving needs. Qualifications

Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to articulate the impact of architecture and design Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines Ability to collaborate effectively with partners and staff Detail oriented, accurate, self-starter Understanding of NYC architecture industry and organizations Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and other software as needed 5+ years of relevant experience in the A&E industry

Responsibilities

Develop and implement communications strategy Ensure clarity of messaging and value proposition across all pursuits Direct RFP, RFQ, RFI responses Provide editorial quality control Identify new business opportunities and serve as point of contact Support partner business development efforts and set up meetings Build and maintain industry relationships Write/edit quarterly email newsletter Research site history, new client profiles, and aspects relevant to new project pursuits Support partner publications and speaking engagements Oversee social media strategy and implementation Manage forthcoming firm monograph project Develop and manage annual marketing budget Present annual forensic report on new business pursuits Pitch to media/ coordinate with PR consultants

For the position, MBB offers a salary range of $75,000.00 - $115,000.00 and will be commensurate with experience.
