Position Summary: OEC is seeking a Digital Communications and Marketing Manager to take our digital storytelling to new levels. This role manages OEC’s social media, website, email software, and design assets, and works closely with OEC’s program directors and development team to triage requests and produce original content. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Digital Communications Management (~60%) Full strategy, execution, and management of social media – including video content creation, graphic design, engagement tracking, and audience growth Website management, including content creation, design, ongoing maintenance, and analytics Management, production, and deployment of email campaigns (including A/B testing and list management) Digital graphic design in Canva and/or Adobe Suite Routine analysis and reporting across all digital platforms Online marketing, audience growth, and acquisition effort management Ensures justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) values and digital accessibility standards Cross-Organizational Support (~30%) Intake content and deliverable requests from program team Set and reinforce workflow processes, including Asana task management and timeline creation Execution of design and publishing of routine programmatic materials – including one-pagers, toolkits, petitions/action alerts, and event invitations/promotion Production support for content development – including editing, proofing, project timeline management, and occasional writing Fundraising content development support – including website updates, email campaigns, and donation pages Other Responsibilities (~10%) Maintain media database and track coverage Actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, and events Support the efforts of OEC’s Emerging Leaders Board Regular photography and video in office and at events Cross-trained and able to provide backup on all MarCom-related tasks Other responsibilities as needed Qualifications: Required Experience, Education and Certifications Three years related professional experience managing digital communications including social media, websites, and emails, or equivalent Familiarity with basic HTML Experience managing all technical aspects of social media, email marketing, and website maintenance for an organization Demonstrated proficiency using graphic design software, including Canva Experience developing and implementing marketing strategies to achieve measurable outcomes – including SEO optimization, list-building, and audience growth Required Skills, Abilities and Qualities Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects while keeping a “big picture” strategic view Experience creating short, engaging, video content for blogs and social media Excellent interpersonal skills; an eagerness to work collaboratively in a diverse, dynamic team environment Excellent communication (verbal and written); comfort engaging with everyone from staff members, to community advocates and elected officials Ability to self-motivate, take the initiative and problem solve; ability to work independently Outstanding copy-editing and proof-reading skills, with ability to deliver error-free content. This role may occasionally require excess hours, and attendance at occasional evening and weekend events in order to achieve deliverables. Salary and Employment Benefits: The starting salary range for this position is $63,500 – $74,750 per year. Starting salary offers are made based on an assessment of the candidate’s skills, experience, and abilities in relation to the job description, and also in relation to peer roles in the organization. OEC endeavors to increase all staff wages annually to account for cost of living as well as to recognize and honor experience gained over time. We review and adjust the organizational pay scale every 2-3 years. Employees can expect to move up in the range for their position’s pay grade as they gain more experience in their roles.
