Commercial Construction Estimator
to join our in-office team. Responsibilities
Reviewing plans, specifications, and project documents to perform accurate quantity takeoffs Soliciting subcontractor proposals and compiling detailed scopes of work Attending pre-bid meetings and conducting site visits as needed during the bidding process Evaluating project scope and requirements to ensure successful project execution Developing preliminary schedules and calculating cost factors for project estimates Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors through effective communication Negotiating subcontractor pricing and managing subcontract buyouts Preparing and submitting RFPs, RFIs, and change orders as required Qualifications
3+ years of construction estimating experience
(preferred) Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
(preferred) Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and processes Proficient in computer skills with experience in estimating and project management tools Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications to evaluate all required scopes of work Compensation
$65,000 - $80,000 yearly About Tavacon, LLC
