General Sales Manager

to lead and elevate the sales operation. This role is ideal for a proven automotive leader who thrives in a high-performance environment and knows how to build, train, and manage a winning team. The General Sales Manager will oversee the daily operations of the sales department while driving volume, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage the desk, develop managers and sales consultants, and implement processes that consistently deliver results.

Responsibilities

Lead the overall performance of the sales department including new and pre-owned vehicle sales

Recruit, train, and develop Sales Managers and Sales Consultants

Manage daily desk operations to maximize profitability while maintaining deal structure and compliance

Monitor key performance metrics including volume, gross profit, and CSI

Work closely with the Finance Department to ensure smooth deal flow and a strong customer experience

Manage inventory levels, pricing strategy, and market competitiveness

Implement sales processes and accountability standards that drive consistent performance

Conduct regular performance reviews and training to build a high performing team

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Automotive General Sales Manager

Strong leadership and team development skills

Deep understanding of dealership sales operations and desk management

Ability to analyze performance metrics and drive improvement

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

High level of professionalism and commitment to ethical business practices
