Director of Operations (Lean Manufacturing exp req) Location: Lawrence, MA Salary: $125,000 – $150,000 + Bonus + Benefits Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short/Long Disability, 401k w/ match, PTO, Year-End Shutdown Job Type: Full-Time Start Date: ASAP Sponsorship is not available Relocation Assistance Available Our client, a precision manufacturing company, is seeking a Director of Operations to lead their growing team in Lawrence, MA. Reporting directly to the President, you will oversee daily operations for a precision machining and metal stamping facility, manage production, production schedules, personnel, and monitor key lean manufacturing metrics. This is a lean company made up of about 50 employees all working the day shift; you’ll manage about 30 people. This role is best suited for someone who thrives in a smaller, hands-on manufacturing environment where leaders are directly involved in day-to-day operations. To succeed, you must be a hands-on leader who drives efficiency, ensures on-time delivery, and fosters continuous improvement. Manage about 30 employees Spend significant time on the manufacturing floor daily Work alongside supervisors and employees to monitor operations, identify issues, and drive improvements Hold supervisors and employees accountable to performance expectations Address performance issues; make personnel decisions when needed Develop and strengthen leadership capabilities among supervisors Ensure alignment with the President on the mission of the company Direct daily manufacturing activities for production, subcontracting, and shipments Set and manage daily and weekly production goals Implement and monitor lean manufacturing practices across all departments Track productivity and throughput metrics to drive continuous improvement Develop and enforce operational policies, procedures, and goals with leadership Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Purchasing, and Logistics Oversee customer production and delivery schedules to meet shipping targets Manage hiring, training, coaching, and performance reviews for staff Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies Qualifications

5+ years of manufacturing management experience required Lean manufacturing experience required Proven people leadership experience required
