We are looking for a creative and detail-driven jewelry designer to join our jewelry design team. You will lead and help bring our seasonal jewelry vision to life — from initial concept to final sample — working closely with the senior design director and cross-functional partners to deliver pieces that are unmistakably kate spade. The ideal candidate brings creativity, technical expertise, and the confidence to drive projects from concept through execution. Key responsibilities
Lead and support the jewelry design team through all stages of the design process, staying aligned with the seasonal design calendar and proactively anticipating next steps Drive research into global trends, materials, and techniques to create jewelry that feels fresh, playful, and authentically kate spade Produce and oversee detailed CAD drawings and renderings in Illustrator and Photoshop for vendor communication and sampling Create, manage, and maintain spec sheets and technical packages, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all development stages Develop and update seasonal color cards and finish references Support, prepare and present seasonal mood boards and presentations to cross-functional partners and senior leadership Collaborate closely with design, merchandising, and production teams to ensure a cohesive and commercially strong collection Maintain organized material libraries, component archives, and reference samples Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Jewelry Design Minimum 3 years of experience in jewelry, with demonstrated ability to own projects end-to-end Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD rendering Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple timelines simultaneously Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining creative quality Strong interpersonal and communication skills — able to present ideas confidently and collaborate effectively across teams A genuine love of the kate spade brand and a sharp sense of taste, trend awareness Our competencies
