Responsibilities
Supervise, train, and schedule housekeeping staff.
Ensure resident rooms, common areas, and facility spaces meet cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Implement and monitor infection control and environmental safety procedures.
Conduct regular inspections of facility areas to maintain quality standards.
Manage housekeeping supplies, inventory, and budget.
Develop and maintain cleaning schedules and protocols.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
Coordinate with nursing, maintenance, and administrative departments.
Address resident and family concerns related to housekeeping services.
Maintain documentation, reports, and staff performance evaluations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience in housekeeping or environmental services, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.
Supervisory or management experience required.
Knowledge of infection control practices and healthcare sanitation standards.
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
