Yin-Yang Gender Healing Meetup and Private Sessions

We are looking for a graphic designer who can create variations of the Yin-Yang image for our monthly workshop and discussion group.

Yin-Yang Gender Healing Web Page and Private Sessions.

We would like to have various interpretations of the Yin-Yang image . They can be square or 16:9 aspect ratio.

As the workshop and private sessions are about Yin-Yang Gender Healing images should always incorporate a male and a female.

However, they can also incorporate any of the opposing elements of yin-yang.

In Taoist yin-yang philosophy, opposing elements represent complementary forces that create balance and harmony. Here are the most recognized yin-yang pairs and their variations, as found in Taoist cosmology, philosophy, and everyday thought:

Classic Yin-Yang Opposites

  • Female (yin) / Male (yang)
  • Moon (yin) / Sun (yang)
  • Night (yin) / Day (yang)
  • Earth (yin) / Sky or Heaven (yang)
  • Water (yin) / Fire (yang)
  • Receptivity (yin) / Activity (yang)
  • Passivity (yin) / Assertiveness (yang)
  • Darkness (yin) / Light (yang)
  • Cold (yin) / Heat (yang)
  • Soft (yin) / Hard (yang)
  • Chaos (yin) / Order (yang)
  • Consumption or absorption (yin) / Production or emission (yang)
  • Brake (yin) / Accelerator (yang) (applied metaphorically to action)
  • Decay or death (yin) / Growth or new life (yang)

Extended Pairs (From Taoist Texts & Practice)

  • Winter (yin) / Summer (yang) (seasonal)
  • Intuition (yin) / Logic (yang)
  • Yielding (yin) / Leading (yang) (martial arts, relationships)
  • Downward (yin) / Upward (yang) (movement/metaphor)
  • Inside (yin) / Outside (yang) (body, home)
  • Stillness (yin) / Movement (yang) (meditation, health)
  • Indirect (yin) / Direct (yang)
  • Introversion (yin) / Extraversion (yang)
  • Left (yin) / Right (yang) (symbolism)

In Taoist cosmology, yin and yang interrelate with the five elements as follows:

  • Water and wood are generally more yin.
  • Fire and metal are generally more yang.
  • Earth can act as a balance or transition.

Principles

  • The opposites are relative—context matters, and what is yin in one situation may be yang in another.
  • Every yin contains yang, and vice versa, symbolized by the yin-yang dot in the taijitu; forces transform into each other cyclically.
  • Balance between opposites leads to harmony; excess or deficiency causes imbalance and disharmony.

These opposites influence art, medicine, martial arts, and daily customs in Taoist-influenced societies. The yin-yang framework remains a profound tool for contemplating balance, change, and interconnectedness in nature and humanity.
