POSITION SUMMARY
As a Mortgage Loan Processor, you are responsible for the processing, administering and closing of Mortgage/Real Estate loans through activities such as processing loan documentation by verifying the accuracy of completion, setting up new accounts, and maintaining loan records and files. As a representative of the Bank, you are required to present a positive and professional image at all times.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent required Two or more years of Mortgage loan processing experience or comparable related experience required COMPETENCIES
Ability to maintain and regularly display a professional demeanor Possess current knowledge of real estate law and procedure Possess strong organization skills Ability to be self-motivated and results-driven Ability to be customer service-focused on a continuous basis Possess and display excellent communication skills Possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Possess extensive follow-up skills Ability to adjust to a fast-paced, multi-demand and ever-changing work environment Possess an advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and Windows-based applications Possess strong analytical skills DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Handle the loan pipeline and ensure an efficient and compliant flow throughout the loan process Manage multiple loan files, collect and record customer information, and ensure timely processing of mortgages Stay up to date on agency guidelines, internal underwriting/processing procedures and Company policies Ability to work and communicate with Production Sales Team to ensure top notch internal and external service. Acquire the files necessary for property and loan documentation, including the following: verification of employment, evidence of insurance, payoffs, tax transcripts, credit supplements, condo questionnaires, subordination requests, and title work to assure a smooth loan process Work with Underwriters on conditions of loans submitted when there are questions Follow up with borrowers and vendors for timely receipt of requested documentation Maintain compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements Consistently support, uphold and model the organization’s core values and standards Complete other duties as assigned as determined by management to be reasonable and beneficial
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, management and employees. Regular use of the telephone and email for communication is essential. Remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time is common. Must be able to accurately gather and process verbal and written information and properly prepare or inspect documents. Good manual dexterity is needed for the frequent use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculators, copiers and telephones. Occasional travel may be required.
