Executive Director The Sisters of St. Joseph Brentwood seek an Executive Director of CSJ Sponsored Schools to provide strategic oversight on behalf of the Board of Members for its four all-girls Catholic, college preparatory schools across New York and Puerto Rico. This role follows two years of planning led by a volunteer executive advisory group to assess financial sustainability, enrollment trends, and future opportunities for the schools. Reporting to and acting on behalf of the President and Board of Members, the Executive Director has authority to engage school Boards and administrators to lead and advance network priorities in alignment with the Congregation\'s mission. The role guides implementation of key priorities and monitors shifts in private education to ensure curricula, student experiences, and resources remain contemporary and distinctive. The Executive Director will bring strong business acumen and understanding of private education systems to advise on financial sustainability, enrollment strategies, nonprofit governance, marketing & fundraising, capital planning, and operational effectiveness. This role supports four institutions, working closely with Presidents, Principals, and Boards to troubleshoot challenges and advance priority initiatives across the network. Key Responsibilities

Network Strategy, Innovation & Future Direction : Lead implementation of network-wide priorities and translate trends in education into practical initiatives that modernize programming, strengthen enrollment, and position each school for success. Network Collaboration & Shared Services : Identify opportunities for collaboration across schools (shared vendors, joint initiatives, data systems) and establish network-wide benchmarks, processes, and best practices that preserve each school\'s identity. School Performance Monitoring : Develop dashboards and KPIs to monitor enrollment, financial health, academic indicators, and operational priorities; refine standards to keep schools innovative and forward-looking. Financial Sustainability Support : Partner with finance leaders to review budgets, tuition strategies, and long-term planning to identify practical paths toward stability and growth. Enrollment & Marketing Collaboration : Support leaders in enrollment strategy and outreach while articulating a compelling narrative around Catholic, all-girls education across the network. Advancement & Fundraising Alignment : Help schools and boards implement development strategies and donor engagement to support operating capital and academic needs. Facilities & Capital Planning : Partner with leaders to assess deferred maintenance and capital investments that support modern learning environments and technology readiness. Academic & Program Excellence : Support faculty structures, academic benchmarking, curriculum collaboration, faculty development, and college counseling standards. Governance & Trustee Partnership : Support boards with governance clarity, leadership evaluation, succession planning, trustee recruitment, and alignment with Congregation expectations, including vetting candidates in collaboration with the Board of Members. Qualifications

Senior leadership experience within an education institution, school network, or mission-driven education organization, with understanding of enrollment-driven financial models and governance structures. Strong business and operational acumen, including interpreting financial statements, assessing long-term sustainability, and advising on facilities, capital planning, and resource allocation. Experience working across multiple entities, campuses, or programs, balancing network priorities with the identity and needs of individual schools. Deep alignment with mission-centered education and a commitment to faith formation and all-girls learning environments that prepare students for leadership and lifelong impact. Advanced degree in education or related field preferred (e.g., M.Ed, EdD, PhD). Additional training or experience in business, management, finance, or organizational leadership is valued (e.g., MBA). Location, Compensation & Benefits

This is an on-site position based in Floral Park, New York, with travel to Jamaica Estates, Hempstead, Brooklyn, and Puerto Rico as needed. The salary range is $175,000 - $225,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
