About the Opportunity The Senior HR Generalist leads employee relations and benefits administration while providing comprehensive HR support across the organization. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, ensuring consistent policy application, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational goals in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position reports to the HR Supervisor.
Responsibilities Employee Relations (Primary Focus)
Lead and manage complex employee relations matters including investigations, performance management, corrective action, conflict resolution, and terminations.
Conduct thorough, unbiased workplace investigations and document findings.
Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee performance, policy interpretation, and risk mitigation.
Ensure consistent application of company policies and employment law compliance.
Partner with leadership to foster a culture of trust, accountability, and engagement.
Identify trends in employee relations issues and recommend proactive solutions.
Benefits Administration
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries.
Administer health, welfare, retirement, and leave programs.
Coordinate open enrollment, benefits communications, and employee education.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws including FMLA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
Partner with brokers and vendors to resolve escalated issues.
Audit benefit enrollments and deductions for accuracy.
HR Operations & Compliance
Maintain and optimize HRIS processes (Dayforce experience preferred).
Support payroll, onboarding, offboarding, and employee data integrity.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Assist with policy development and updates.
Support audits and reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations.
Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations.
Working knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements.
Experience administering employee benefits programs.
Strong documentation and case management skills.
Excellent communication, discretion, and judgment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare industry experience.
Experience with Dayforce HRIS.
Experience supporting multi-site operations.
Fully in-office position.
Fast-paced healthcare environment requiring responsiveness and adaptability.
Regular interaction with leadership, managers, and frontline staff.
