Job Description
Salary: $100,000 - $115,00 Annually
The YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Salesforce Business Analyst who will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT to support Salesforce and related enterprise systems at the YMCA of Greater New York. This role focuses on analyzing business and technical requirements, supporting system design and delivery, and ensuring Salesforce solutions are aligned with IT standards and organizational goals.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. Three (3+) years of experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst or Business Analyst supporting Salesforce platforms in an IT delivery environment. Experience supporting Salesforce implementations, enhancements, or enterprise system integrations. Experience working in a nonprofit environment, with an understanding of mission-driven operations and stakeholder collaboration. Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, SDLC, and IT delivery processes. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working within IT governance frameworks. Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar tools for requirements and backlog management. Ability to document system architectures, data flows, and integration dependencies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Salesforce Business Analyst and Salesforce Administrator certifications. Experience with Salesforce clouds (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Nonprofit Success Pack) preferred. Experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) is desirable. Essential Functions
Requirements Analysis & Documentation
Elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and system impacts for Salesforce initiatives. Translate business needs into detailed requirements that support Salesforce configuration, development, integrations, and testing. Review and validate requirements with business and IT stakeholders to ensure clarity, feasibility, and alignment with Salesforce and IT architecture standards. Salesforce Solution Support
Partner with Salesforce Developer, Administrator, QA, Project Manager, and Integration teams to support solution design and implementation. Validate Salesforce functionality against approved requirements and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system testing activities. Document data flows, integrations, security considerations, and downstream system impacts related to Salesforce changes. Process Improvement & Analysis
Analyze current-state and future-state business processes and Salesforce workflows to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Recommend system and process enhancements that improve efficiency, data quality, and user experience within Salesforce. Agile Delivery & Project Support
Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives. Maintain requirements traceability throughout the Salesforce SDLC to ensure scope alignment and change control. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Support communication between business stakeholders and Salesforce delivery teams by gathering requirements, clarifying scope, and assisting with solution alignment. Coordinate with external vendors and consultants to ensure Salesforce solutions align with organizational and IT standards. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain Salesforce requirements documentation, Jira artifacts, and solution records. Support leadership and project reporting with clear summaries of scope, dependencies, risks, and delivery status.
