LOAN DOCUMENT SPECIALIST II
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Join our team as a Loan Document Specialist II, where you will play a vital role in the preparation of loan documents for commercial real estate and construction loans. Your expertise will ensure all necessary loan information is meticulously reviewed and documented, and you will act as a key liaison among various stakeholders to facilitate smooth loan closings.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Obtain and meticulously review all necessary loan information to prepare accurate loan documents, encompassing credit approvals, appraisals, and title information. Proactively address any issues to ensure timely document due dates.
Coordinate loan analysis meetings with all necessary parties promptly following the receipt of an approved RELAR/PCMF and credit memo.
Prepare comprehensive real estate loan documents (including loan agreements, financing statements, and disclosure statements) aligning with bank policies and regulations. Engage in negotiations with borrowers alongside relationship managers.
Collaborate with the Legal Department or outside counsel to secure specific legal language for documentation, ensuring compliance while assessing whether standard or customized documents are needed.
Maintain clear communication with title officers to resolve any title issues and ensure that loans are properly recorded and funded within established timelines.
Facilitate smooth loan closings, ensuring that all documentation is accurately executed, recorded, and funded. Verify all information is properly captured including reserve accounts.
Review existing loan files for unresolved audit exceptions prior to meetings.
Serve as a key liaison to other bank departments to resolve documentation questions and may contact customers for additional information as directed.
Ensure all completed documents are signed and approved by authorized loan officers, and distributed within established timelines.
Stay current with real estate loan documentation practices through ongoing training and development. Remain informed about changes in federal and state legislation affecting commercial and real estate lending.
Update and maintain Department Documentation Manuals to reflect current practices.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate documentation.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial banking or financial institution environment.
Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
