Software Packaging Specialist
Zurich North America is seeking a talented Software Packaging Specialist to join our innovative team. This position follows a hybrid work model at our Schaumburg North America HQ and reports directly to the End User Computing Platform Manager.
As a Software Packaging Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the End User Computing team, focusing on engineering, packaging, and delivering cutting-edge software solutions for both virtual and physical desktop environments. Your expertise in Azure, Intune, and AWS will be vital in providing secure, reliable, and forward-thinking technology for Zurich North America's workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the complete software packaging process, including intake, build, customization, testing, and delivery, utilizing MSI/EXE/MSIX and PSAppDeploy Toolkit.
Manage software upgrades, installations, uninstalls, and configuration changes efficiently.
Diagnose and resolve packaging and deployment challenges promptly.
Ensure adherence to local and global compliance and security policies.
Architect, build, and implement endpoint configurations and user applications for both virtual (AVD/VDI) and physical desktops.
Administer and configure Intune, Azure AD, Endpoint Manager, and Active Directory policies.
Support and enhance cloud-based desktop environments (Azure, Intune, AWS) for optimal performance.
Provide Level 3 technical support and act as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to offer guidance and support for Level 2 teams.
Work closely with the EUC Platform team to develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems that improve efficiency.
Engage in ServiceNow ticketing and escalation processes as required.
Research, review, and implement new technologies to facilitate future IT initiatives.
Drive initiatives with minimal supervision, showcasing leadership and independence.
Document processes and facilitate training sessions as required.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience in information technology, or
Completion of Zurich Cybersecurity Technician Apprenticeship with an Associate Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or
High School Diploma or Equivalent with 5+ years of experience in the information technology field, AND
Proficiency with MS Office.
Strong understanding of information technology operations.
Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in Azure, Intune, Endpoint Manager, and Active Directory.
Advanced scripting skills (PowerShell, Batch, VB).
Working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Office 365.
Familiarity with Citrix, VDI, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments (not mandatory).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
Experience with packaging tools like Flexera Admin Studio.
Understanding of AWS cloud services (EC2, Workspaces, S3, IAM, etc.).
Experience with ServiceNow and OS/application patching is a plus.

The competitive pay range for this position is $81,730 - $133,870, with a short-term incentive bonus eligibility of 10%.
